Abstract

Robert Ferguson’s article “Democracy and Media Literacy” begins by discussing the general concepts of literacy and media literacy, and democracy. Finally he tries to make some sense of the two in relation to approaches to media education and pedagogy. He formulates seven key questions and tries to answer the question: “How do you teach about democracy and combine it with the development of media literacy?”
