Abstract

How do Finnish trainee nursery school teachers feel about modern information and communication technologies (MICT)? The paper discusses these teachers' ideas, their attitudes towards technology and the philosophy behind them. The author claims that "the students mostly had a positive attitude towards information and communication technologies".

Kankaanrinta, Ilta-Kanerva

Ilta-Kanerva Kankaanrinta works at the Media Education Centre of the Department of Teacher Education, which belongs to the University of Helsinki. She is an instructor of modern information and communication technologies. In addition, Kankaanrinta teaches biology, geography and environmental education at the Helsinki Second Teacher Training School.
