Abstract

Cameron R. Culham writes about his work as a foreign language teacher. He describes his experience and the methods he developed leading a nonverbal workshop. Culham stresses the importance of nonverbal means of communication: "The art of gesture lies at the very core of human existence and plays a part in every face-to-face human interaction".

Culham, Cameron R.

Cameron R. Culham has worked as a museum theatre performer and as a children's entertainer. He co-founded the Theatre Cabale, a francophone Victoria theatre company. He currently teaches ESL at the English Language Centre at the University of Victoria.
