Abstract

US-president George W. Bush addressed the nation on the 15th of September 2001 after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center in New York und the Pentagon in Washington DC. Employing a rhetoric of resolve and prevailance he declares "War against Terrorism" and prepares the American people for a long and tedious conflict.

Bush, George W.

George W. Bush (* 1946) is the oldest son of the former president George H. W. Bush. After graduating from Yale and Harvard he began a career in the oil business. 1994 he was elected govenor of Texas. 2001 he became 43rd president of the United States.
